Designer illustrates potential of coffee tables

An interior design expert has shown those reconfiguring their homes how a creative coffee table could spice things up.

Cheri Roberto told the Philippine Daily Inquirer that budding designers should allow their inner youth help boost their imagination when choosing what colours to include in any space of the house.

"Before I start working on a particular room, I always ask myself what I want to achieve out of it. It helps to know what colours go well together. But more often than not, mixing colours is a matter of taste," she explained.

She suggested that choosing brighter, more shocking shades for a coffee table could turn a dull room into a playful one.

An article on amnom.com recently suggested that it could be worthwhile making use of low-cost furniture to regularly update and restyle a home, such as coffee tables, which provide a focal point to rooms.
