Expert: Comfort is key to choosing wooden furniture

Pubs are one environment in which wooden furniture is considered a must-have, but it is still important to make the right choices when buying it.

Ian Boughton, writing for the Morning Advertiser, says comfort "is a big word" when it comes to furnishing such establishments.

While there are certain ways to be cost-efficient and increase capacity, it may be that providing somewhere enjoyable to sit is paramount.

The expert goes on to note the choice of sofas may not always be the right one in pubs, as once one person sits down it is uncommon for another guest to join them.

Wooden furniture, in the form of benches, tables and chairs could provide the answer to landlords hoping to give their property a new lease of life.

Those hoping to create a seasonal feel could follow the advice of Helen Green, author of the blog on terrysfabrics.co.uk, who says red, gold and green are among the best colours to use at this time of year.
