A more informal way of dining has resulted in a rise in the number of people buying large coffee tables, according to one expert.
Offering his opinion on what the trends will be for interiors in the coming months, Andrew Bockner of Andrew Richard Designs told yourhome.ca that now people are looking for a more relaxed way of eating – and their furniture choices are reflecting this.
He explained that more conversational setting are now being preferred, which has resulted in a rise in sales of 24-inch high coffee tables, as an alternative to the traditional 17-inch table or the 29-inch dining table.
Mr Bockner also noted that there is a strong theme of people looking for outdoor furniture as the popularity of al fresco dining increases.
People looking to get a modern feel in their home could try following the advice of interior designer Adrienne Chinn, who said a mix of modern and antique styles is very fashionable.
